All our lampshades are made of laminated linen fabric. The material softly diffuses the light showing the beautiful texture of the linen and letting some of the folding lines of our origami shades shine brightly emphasizing the geometric pattern. Linen is made of the fibers of the flax plant, and because of the natural variation in the fiber, characteristic slubs appear in both warp and weft.

Our shades are not collapsable and they are shipped already assembled and ready to hang. When unpacking or handling your new lampshade,  if some of the creases pop up, you can easily fix them by gently pushing the crease back into place.

We have designed our lamps with a very simple system that by just opening the top part of the lamp you can install and uninstall the shade for an easier cleaning.

Keep the shade clean regularly by using a brush or crevice tool vacuum cleaner attachment. To blow off loose dust and lint, we also recommend as an option, the use of an air duster or air blower. For pet hair, you can use masking tape or packing tape pressing the sticky part of the tape gently into the fabric.

For small marks and scuffs, we recommend the use of any stain remover product. Apply the product to the area affected, let it work for 5 minutes, and rub gently with a lightly wet and clean small brush. Do not wash or rinse the area. Depending on the type of stain it may require multiple applications. Let it dry between each application.

Our shades include a soft white temperature LED light bulb A19 - E26 base with a mid-range lumen that gives a nice warm, soft, and gentle glow.

NOTE: Our lamps have types A and type B outlet plugs. Mainly used in the USA, Canada, Mexico & Japan. Designed for 120V and have E26 lamp holders.

All our products are subject to quality control. Our warranty provides a guarantee against manufacturer defects covering any manufacturing, design, or material defect. Please notify us within 2 months of noticing any defects.
Our warranty does not cover, improper use or other issues that are not attributable to a manufacturer defects.

We know every home and project is special and unique. While we work exclusively with our collections we can customize the cord color & length and canopy style & size.  We also can work with different linen colors and sizes for our shades.

Once you have placed your order, you will receive an email confirmation and we will start getting your order ready. We have a small inventory ready to ship within 2 to 5 business days.

If your order is not in stock, the estimated lead time is 2 -4 weeks, depending on the product.

We do ship small quantities to Canada and Europe with USPS International Priority Mail. To receive an international shipping quote please send us an email to info@laloupedesign.com with the item you'd like to purchase as well as the destination. La Loupe Design is not responsible for any customs delays, import fees, taxes, VAT, or any other fees should your package be processed by customs.

​For larger quantities, we don’t offer international shipping but we will gladly ship to your designated third party or export agent within the U.S.

Our lamps are crafted in the United States using UL components; however, they are not initially UL listed. If you wish to have them UL listed, please reach out to us, and we can explore the possibility together.
